艺名马迪·沃特斯（Muddy Waters），是一位美国蓝调音乐人，被称作“现代芝加哥蓝调之父”[2]。Muddy Waters的影响力是巨大的，不仅仅是蓝调和节奏蓝调，还有摇滚乐，硬摇滚，民间音乐，爵士乐和乡村音乐。他经常使用放大器作为三角洲蓝调和摇滚乐之间形成的联系。[3][4]。1987年入选摇滚名人堂，2011年滚石杂志一百大吉他手评选为第49名
